GROWTH GROUPS
A Growth Group is a committed, semester-based small group with higher expectations of attendance, study, and participation aimed at spiritual transformation. Growth Groups are designed to mature disciples in their vital union with Christ by equipping them for a life of Worship, Community, and Outreach.

*How to Read Your Bible
Growth Groups exist to better equip our members to engage in worship, community, and mission. In order to do that more effectively, we have designed a three-part curriculum targeted at members and regular attenders that seeks to cover basics in Bible reading, systematic theology, and basic practices of the Christian life. As such, this group is “part 1” of a 3-year long small group study.

1, 2, 3 John
This co-ed group will focus on building deeper relationships with each other while studying together the last writings of the apostle John as he summarizes the major distinctions of the Christian faith. His letters resonate today as many of our progressive churches dismiss the centrality of faith that holds Jesus as the Son of God, the giver of light and love, centered on his work in our lives.

The J Curve: Part 1
Life is full of inconveniences, disappointments, and trials that can lead us to confusion, cynicism and eventual bitterness. God's Word leads us a different way, to clarity, trust, and joy. Paul Miller unpacks this in J-Curve, helping us associate Union with Christ with our day to day experiences, and showing us what it looks like to die (and rise) with Jesus in everyday life (Luke 9:23). Join us as we learn together that God has "granted for Christ’s sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer on His behalf." (Phil 1:29)
Wednesday, 7:30pm, weekly (men & women alternate) starting Sept 4

Living on Mission
The term living missionally has several connotations in today's culture. During this study, we will dive into what it means to actively pursue the mission of God in your current context. Whether that's at home with your family, locally in your city, daily through your work, or financially by supporting those living overseas - we will explore the different biblical components of living a God-honoring missional life.

**Growth Groups exist to better equip our members to engage in worship, community, and mission. In order to do that more effectively, Growth Groups themselves needed more intentional direction. Therefore, we have designed a three-part curriculum for all members and regular attenders that seeks to cover the essentials in Bible reading, systematic theology, and basic practices of the Christian life. This curriculum is designed to be a “3 year” track. Each year, we would ask group members to commit to a group for both the Fall and Spring semesters.
The following is a general outline for the “curriculum.”
In year 1 you would sign up for “How to Read Your Bible, Pt. 1.” This group will focus on developing a more “biblical-grid” to help you better understand and apply God’s Word, including an overview of covenant theology.
In year 2, you would sign up for “How to Read Your Bible, Pt. 2.” This group would be a broad overview of the canon of Scripture with surveys of both the Old and New Testaments.
Finally, in year 3, you would end the curriculum with a group focused on systematic theology using the Westminster Confession of Faith and basic practices in the Christian life.
If you have more questions, please feel free to reach out to Devin Coleman or Nick Williamson.
